According to the United States Pharmacopeia and the National Formulary (USP-NF 2022 ISSUE 3* Effective December 1, 2022), analysis of contaminants sucrose and sorbitol in cranberry juice should be carried out with a column with L19 packing material and meets following requirements. What is aerosol?
Firstly, the aerosol industry might sound too technical and give you a complicated feeling. To make it simple, dust or fog is an example of natural aerosols. It is a suspension of fine solid particles or liquid droplets in air or any gas. Mist also one of it.
How is it being used in the aerosol industry?
For industrial, we create synthetic aerosols by making use of the same physics. The suspension of fine particles, liquid or gas. Looking into the aerosol industry (aka spray industry), they make use of it to contain gas or liquid at room temperature. It is simply poured into the can and sealed. The popular propellant is liquefied gas. It is simply poured into the can, pumped at high pressure, and sealed.
Under a high level of pressure, liquid cannot turn into gas. Therefore, when you press the button for spraying, the valve is open, pressure becomes reduced. This liquid propellant will boil and form a gas layer on top. Then, it will push the real liquid product mixing with some of the liquid propellant up the tube to the nozzle. If you ever hear the ball rolling sounds when shaking the spray can, that “pea” helps to mix the liquid product and liquid propellant well together. And, the product will be pushed as a fine mist for us. It is one liquid pushing after another and getting shaped by the nozzle.

And, why do we need Molecular Sieve for the aerosol industry?
Liquefied gas is being used as liquid propellant that’s also mixing with the product. The gas is LPG (Liquified Petroleum Gas) which comes from natural source, but it shouldn’t be smelly for consumers. So, here is where Molecular Sieve comes.
Molecular Sieve is a desiccant that has very small holes which act as a filter to let only some smaller and equaled molecules go in, and the bigger ones cannot. Mercaptan is a sulfur compound that exists in LPG. I only mentioned sulfur compounds, but I suppose you could imagine that the smell is not very pleasant. Therefore, aerosol makers need to use Molecular Sieve to remove Mercaptan from LPG.
The general name of Molecular Sieve would be 3A, 4A, 5A and 13X. Molecular Sieve 13X is the most popular to be used in the aerosol industry to absorb Mercaptan smell for a nice deodorant, perfumes and other products.

FRP (also fiber-reinforced plastic/polymer) is a substitute for metals in the field of corrosion resistant. FRP gained ground with the development of chemical resistant grade bisphenol type unsaturated polyester resins with excellent acid and alkali resistances, replacing orthophthalic acid type unsaturated polyster resins and isophthalic acid type unsaturated polyster resins had been used in the United States. Today, it is a material you can use and rely upon, incorporating all the resin improvement and development work, quality improvement of the reinforcement materials, improvement of molding technology and data accumulation on the performance as chemical resistant FRP and on the various properties as required for the design.

Ripoxy can be generally divided into bisphenol type and novolac type.
Bisphenol-type vinyl ester resins have the advantage of wide-range chemical resistance property (for acid and alkali).
Novolac-type vinyl ester resins have excellent resistance against oxidizing acids, solvents and heat.
Ripoxy excellent corrosion resistance property, therefore our customers have been using it in abundant cases as corrosion resistance FRP for pipes, towers and vessel. It is suitable for resin lining of steel tanks, concrete vessels and concrete floors that are exposed to corrosive environment.
Azithromycin is a 15-membered ring macrolide antibiotic. According to the United States Pharmacopeia and the National Formulary (USP 39-NF 34**), analysis of azithromycin should be carried out with a column filled with L67 packing material and meets following requirements. The Shodex Asahipak ODP-50 4E confirmed the requirements were met.

SEC Multi-Faceted Analysis of Exosome (EV) Combination of UV, Florescence, and Light Scattering Detectors
Exosome, an extracellular vesicle (EV), is responsible for transmitting various information and substances in living organisms. EVs are receiving great interests in the fields of new modality, because of their potential uses as highly sensitive diagnostic markers and therapeutic applications. Their transmission and target specific characteristics make them potentially significant in the treatment of various diseases. EVs have unique common physical and physiological properties including their sizes and surface antigens.
However, their complex cell generation processes create diversities in the properties and encapsulated substances. Thus, they are often treated as mixtures of nano vehicles with certain variations. Therefore, the manufacturing of EV as a biopharmaceutical via bioprocessing requires development of production and evaluation methods that ensures consistent reproduction of EVs with the same characteristics throughout basic research, proof of concept, all clinical trial stages and actual production for clinical use. In addition, it is also important to control impurities generated during the production procedures. Those impurities include cell-originated components with which also have diversities.
